“태초에 하나님이 천지를 창조하시니라.” (창세기 1:1)
하나님께서 이 세상을 어떻게 만드셨을까? 성경 창세기에 따르면, 하나님은 일곱 날 동안 모든 것을 지으셨습니다. 그 과정은 놀랍고도 신비로워서, 우리가 살고 있는 우주와 지구, 그리고 우리 자신이 어떤 존재인지 깨닫게 합니다.
1. 일곱 날 동안의 창조
첫째 날: “빛이 있으라!” (창세기 1:3)
빛의 창조: 하나님이 “빛이 있으라!” 하시자 모든 에너지원이 생겨났어요.
이 빛은 단순히 밝기만이 아니라, 우주가 시작되는 근본 에너지이기도 합니다.
둘째 날: 창공(대기권) 만드심 (창세기 1:6-8)
창공(하늘): 공기가 형성되어, 우리가 숨을 쉴 수 있는 대기권이 만들어졌어요.
지구를 둘러싸는 하늘이 생겨나고, 생명체가 살 수 있는 환경이 준비되었습니다.
셋째 날: 바다·땅·식물 창조 (창세기 1:9-13)
“하늘 아래의 물은 한 곳으로 모이라” 하시니, 바다가 생기고 땅이 드러났습니다.
땅에서 풀이 나고, 채소와 과일나무 등이 종류대로 자라게 되었습니다.
이때부터 땅이 다양한 식물을 생육하고, 먹을 수 있는 열매들이 맺히게 되었죠.
넷째 날: 해·달·별 (창세기 1:14-19)
해와 달, 별들을 창조하셔서 낮과 밤, 계절과 시간을 구분하게 하셨습니다.
큰 광체인 해가 강력한 빛과 열을 주고, 밤에는 달과 별이 빛나며 하늘에 하나님의 권능을 드러냅니다.
다섯째 날: 새와 물고기 (창세기 1:20-23)
하나님이 새를 창공에 날게 하시고, 물고기를 물속에서 힘차게 헤엄치게 하셨습니다.
바다와 하늘이 생명체로 가득 차게 되었어요.
여섯째 날: 동물과 사람 (창세기 1:24-31)
육지 동물들이 생겨나고, 마지막으로 사람을 창조하셨습니다.
사람은 “하나님의 형상을 따라” 지음 받아, 영적 존재가 되었고 만물을 다스리는 권세를 부여받았습니다.
일곱째 날: 안식 (창세기 2:1-3)
창조가 모두 끝난 뒤, 하나님은 일곱째 날을 거룩하게 하시고 쉬셨습니다.
모든 것이 완벽한 상태에 이르렀음을 알리는 거예요.
2. 에덴동산: 사람을 위한 특별한 장소
하나님은 사람을 위해 동쪽의 “에덴”이라는 아름다운 동산을 준비하셨습니다.
‘에덴’은 ‘기쁨’을 뜻하며, 각종 과일나무가 풍성하고 물이 흐르는 풍요로운 곳이었습니다.
동산 중앙에는 생명나무와 선악을 알게 하는 나무가 있었고, 큰 강 4개가 흘러나왔습니다(비손, 기혼, 힛데겔(티그리스), 유프라테스).
사람(아담, 하와)은 이곳에서 하나님과 교제하며 살도록 창조되었습니다.
3. 생령으로 지음 받은 우리는 누구인가?
흙으로 지음 + ‘후~’ 생기
하나님께서 흙을 빚으시고, 그 안에 생기를 불어넣으시니 사람이 살아 움직이는 '생령(생명체)'이 되었습니다.
단순한 동물이 아닌, 영적 존재로서 하나님과 소통이 가능하죠.
자유의지
하나님은 우리에게 스스로 생각하고 결정할 자유를 주셨습니다.
“무엇을 믿고, 어떤 길을 선택하며, 어떻게 살아갈 것인가?” 자유롭게 결정하지만, 그 결과에 대한 책임도 따릅니다.
피조물 중 으뜸
사람은 창조된 존재(피조물)지만, 하나님의 형상을 가지고 있기 때문에 특별합니다.
하나님의 마음을 담아 만물을 다스리고, 관리하도록 맡겨주셨습니다.
4. 우리의 질문: 자유의지를 어떻게 사용할까?
하나님의 뜻에 맞춰 사는 삶
“우리가 원하는 것”이 아니라, “하나님이 원하시는 것”이 뭘까 고민하고 선택하는 것.
예) 사랑, 정의, 정직, 긍정적 태도, 이웃 돌보기 등.
하나님과 교제하는 법
기도: 하나님께 마음을 고백하고, 도움을 청하며, 감사와 찬양을 드리는 대화
말씀(성경) 묵상: 하나님이 주신 지혜와 교훈을 배우고, 삶에 적용
예배와 공동체 생활: 믿음의 친구들과 함께 신앙을 나누며 성장
선택과 책임
자유의지에는 늘 책임이 따라와요.
선악을 알게 하는 나무 열매 사건(아담, 하와의 선택)처럼, 어떤 길을 택하느냐에 따라 결과가 다릅니다.
5. 마무리: 창조의 비밀과 우리 삶의 방향
하나님은 7일 동안 아름답고 질서 있게 우주와 지구, 생명체를 창조하셨고, 그중에서도 사람을 영적 존재로 특별히 빚으셨습니다.
우리의 삶에는 자유의지가 주어졌어요. 이 자유를 어떻게 사용할지는 온전히 우리의 몫입니다.
“나는 누구이며, 무엇을 위해 살까?”
창조된 존재로서 하나님과 관계 맺고, 그분의 뜻을 따라 사는 삶은 우리에게 참된 기쁨과 의미를 줍니다.
에덴동산(“기쁨”이라는 뜻)처럼, 하나님과 함께하며 기쁨 넘치는 삶을 누리고 싶다면, 기도와 말씀으로 하나님께 한 걸음씩 다가가 보세요.

“나는 자유의지를 어떻게 사용하고 있을까?”
“하나님이 원하시는 삶과 내가 하고 싶은 삶이 충돌할 때, 어떤 선택을 해야 할까?”
“일상 속에서, 창조의 신비와 하나님을 기억하며 살아가는 방법은?”
하나님이 우리를 향해 준비하신 ‘에덴’과 같은 풍성한 삶이 있어요. 그 길로 가기 위해,
매일 기도하고 말씀을 묵상하며, 자유의지를 아름답게 사용해 봅시다.

"In the beginning, God created heaven and earth." (Genesis 1:1)
How did God make this world? According to biblical Genesis, God built everything in seven days. The process is both amazing and mysterious, making us realize what the universe, the Earth, and ourselves we live in.
1. Creation for seven days
Day 1: “There shall be light!” (Genesis 1:3)
Creation of Light: When God said, “There is light!” all the energy sources were created.
This light is not just brightness, but also the fundamental energy from which the universe begins.
Day 2: Creation of the sky (atmospheric atmosphere) (Genesis 1:6-8)
Sky: Air has formed, creating an atmosphere where we can breathe.
The sky surrounding the Earth has emerged, and an environment in which life can live is ready.
Third day: Creation of the sea, land, and plants (Genesis 1:9-13)
"The water under the sky should gather in one place," and the sea was created and the ground was revealed.
Grass grew from the ground, and vegetables and fruit trees grew in various ways.

Fourth day: Sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14-19)

God created the universe, the earth, and living things beautifully and orderly for seven days, and especially made people spiritual beings.
